Terms of Service
Last updated: July 19, 2026
The service
Askvo lets you create AI chatbots trained on content you provide and embed them on your websites. The service is designed and intended for professional and business use. By creating an account you confirm you are acting in a professional capacity and agree to these terms; if you use Askvo on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorized to bind it.
Your account
You're responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account, including activity by teammates you invite. You must provide accurate information and be authorized to use the content you upload for training. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
Plans, credits and billing
Each plan includes a monthly message-credit allowance and limits on chatbots and content pages. Credits reset at the start of each calendar month and unused credits don't roll over. When your account reaches its limit, chatbots stop answering until the next month or an upgrade — there are no overage charges. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe; prices are stated exclusive of VAT and other applicable taxes, which are added at checkout where required.
You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel anytime from your billing settings. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period; amounts already paid for a started period are not refunded, except where a refund is required by applicable law. We may change plan prices or allowances with at least 30 days' notice — changes apply from your next billing period, and if you disagree you can cancel before they take effect.
Your content
You keep all rights to the content you upload. You grant us the limited, non-exclusive license needed to operate the service — crawling, indexing, storing and generating answers for your own chatbots. We never use your content to train shared models or expose it to other customers. You are solely responsible for the content you provide, for having the rights to use it, and for its compliance with applicable law.
Our platform
The Askvo platform — software, design, branding, and everything else that isn't your content — belongs to us or our licensors. These terms give you a right to use the service for your business while your account is active; they don't transfer any intellectual property to you. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely without obligation.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Askvo to:
- publish unlawful, deceptive or harmful content, or impersonate others;
- crawl or upload content you don't have the right to use;
- attempt to disrupt the service, evade plan limits or metering, probe or breach its security, or access other customers' data;
- resell or provide the service to third parties except as your plan expressly allows.
Plan allowances are subject to fair use: we may throttle or suspend usage patterns that degrade the service for others (for example automated bulk traffic that isn't genuine visitor conversation). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
AI-generated answers
Chatbot answers are generated automatically from your content. Askvo is designed to decline rather than invent answers, but no AI system is perfect: answers may be incomplete, outdated or wrong. You are responsible for your bot's configuration and training content, for reviewing how it responds, and for everything your bot communicates to your visitors — including compliance with any rules that apply to your industry. Answers are not professional (legal, medical, financial) advice, and you must not present them as such to your visitors.
Availability and changes to the service
We work hard to keep Askvo fast and available, but the service is provided without an uptime guarantee or service-level commitment. We may perform maintenance, and we may add, change or retire features as the product evolves — if we discontinue a feature that is core to your paid plan, we'll give you reasonable notice. We are not responsible for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages of third-party providers, network failures, or force majeure.
Warranty and liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law: we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, or reputational harm — nor for damage caused by your bot's answers to your visitors; and our total aggregate liability for all claims is limited to the amounts you actually paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, such as liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
Indemnification
You will indemnify and hold us harmless from third-party claims, damages and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from the content you upload, your bot's use on your websites, or your breach of these terms — for example a claim that content you trained a bot on infringes someone's rights, or a claim by one of your visitors about your bot's answers.
Suspension and termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which cancels any active subscription and permanently deletes your data. We may suspend the service for non-payment, for security reasons, or for breach of these terms, and may terminate accounts that seriously or repeatedly breach them. After termination we may permanently delete your data and have no obligation to retain it — export what you need first from Settings.
Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute that can't be resolved amicably will be submitted to the competent French courts. If you are a consumer, this clause doesn't deprive you of protections granted by mandatory law in your country of residence.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service evolves. For material changes we'll give you at least 14 days' notice (by email or in the dashboard); continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the new version. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Questions? Email support@askvo.io.
